IN FEAR!

tt2165859.jpgtt2165859.jpg
THE IN FEAR TRAILER!
The director of the film is Jeremy Lovering. Produced by James Biddle and Nira Park. The film is due to be released on the 15th November 2013. Filmed on Arri Alexa Canon 7D and Go Pro (some scenes).  The film is going to be shown in Cineworld, Showcase, Odeon and Vue. On the same day In Fear was released many other films such as Battle of the Year, The Butler, The counsellor, Dom Hemmingway, Don Jon. All featuring well none actors. So it may seem as though In Fear had some competition.
Big Talk Production was the production company involved in the film.
The film is being released only in the UK. Alice Englert and Allen Leech star in it. Alice I recognised from the movie Beautiful Creatures which makes me want to see the film even more.
Filmed in Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, England, UK although it is set in Ireland. The film is to be entered in film festival around the world. Filmed TWO YEARS AGO throughout november and december of 2011. I was unable to find the budget of the film but was able to gather that for a feature film the budget was low.
I found several articles online about the film. Articles from the BBC and The Telegraph can be seen below.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD!

SO....

Unless you've been living under a rock you may have noticed that Thor 2 was released. I mean how could you have not noticed, it's all anyone talking about!

Everywhere i look there is a Thor reference!

It all start a few weeks ago when the film was released. My friend and i were on our way to the theatre. It's 1 minute until our train and we our hurriedly walking down the the tube platform when i notice it.

It's only a massive Thor poster I see. But no time to marvel over it's greatness as our train has just arrived and were already slightly late. We get on the train and take a seat and who else could be sitting opposite us then some really loud, talkative, overexcited teenage boys, who seem to be extremely animated in there conversation and what else could they be talking about than the one the only THOR: THE DARK WORLD. Yep that right. Now I wasn't eavesdropping as it was kind of hard to ignore people when they are speaking REALLY LOUDLY! I'm sure the whole carriage was listening. Now here's me thinking this is all some weird coincidence but NO. The play we were seeing takes place in leicester square and it just so happens that a certain premiere for a certain hollywood blockbuster was happening here also! I know right what are the chances?!

This all happening was definitely enough to make me want to go and see the film but no apparently the universe thought i wasn't get the message. Over the next few weeks all anyone was talking about was Thor. The film was all over social media.

Youtube stars and radio 1 dj's dan and phil at the premiere.

Dan is a massive fan of Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki in the film.

Lots of other people have also taken to social media to express there views about the film and all i have heard is positive reviews usually ending in go see the film! It was a few days ago when i was on my way home that of course i see another poster and it has led me to the conclusion that I NEED TO SEE THIS FILM. So yep, it's on my to do list and i can't wait to see it!

Here is a bit of background on the film!

Production, Distribution & Marketing and Exhibition

Production
The stages involved in producing a film are pre-production, production and post-production.

In pre-production this is where planning for the project takes place. Scripts are written, cast and crew, location, props, setting, costumes, schedules etc are all produced and selected during pre-production as it is the preparation for beginning the project.

The production stage is when all the filming for the project takes place. Everything that was devised during pre-production is put to works to film for the project. Cast and crew are taken to the locations planned and filmed. The pre-production stage means the production stage can run more smoothly as everything has been planned before hand. During the production stage the director of the film may want to film scenes more then once and can do this a number of times.

The post production stage  is when the editing of the film happens. The film editor creates a 'rough cut' in which they put the best shots in order as a basis for the editing. They then move onto fine cutting the film by going back through the clips and editing them so they flow smoothly. This is also when trimming the film clips and adding effects like sound, graphics etc takes place. When the fine cut has been screened and approved by the director it is then locked, meaning no further changes can be made.

Distribution
Once the film is complete the studio makes a licensing agreement with a distribution company. The distribution company will determine how many copies of the film to make. The distribution company will show have screenings of the movie to potential buyers representing cinema's. The buyers will then negotiate with the distribution company on which film[s] they wish to lease and the terms of this. The copies are sent to the cinema's a few days before opening day and the shows this film for a number of weeks.

Marketing
The different types of marketing are trailers, bus ads, happy meals, apps, competitions, tv ads, posters, newspapers, magazines, radio, billboards, word of mouth etc.

Exhibition
The film value chain is the different formats that a film can be released in as theatrical launch is only one of these formats. There is also non-theatrical license where the audience can watch the film on an aeroplane, at a hotel or on a coach. There is home entertainment, subscription TV, free to air TV and licensed merchandising. We can also view films via the internet.
